Erfolgsregeln: 10 Rules To Have Success

10 Rules To Have Success

Rule 1
Don’t talk too much
If you can’t explain your business concept within one minute, you lose.
Don’t spam people with details.
If they need them, they will ask you.

Rule 2
If you want to get ahead, get noticed
Be creative, you need to find smart & inexpensive ways to become famous.
If you can’t hack the Pentagon, try to have sex with Claudia Schiffer.
If you can manage to sell yourself, you can definitely sell yourself.

Rule 3
If your idea isn’t unique, forget it
Drag & drop business concepts are OUT.
If somebody can easily copy your idea within 2 months, it’s SHIT.
If you can patent your idea, do so. Patents are IN.

Rule 4
You need more money than you think
If your company value is under $ 20 million US,
Modify your idea, modify your business plan or start something new.
Otherwise you will end up holding 5% after the third round.

Rule 5
Make sure you have FUN
If you don’t have FUN with what you are doing, you will fail.
Do whatever is needed to do, to have a good time.
A self-confident & successful smile on your face will open all doors.

Rule 6
Good cosmetics: 30% of your success
Make sure your presentations are sexy and your website looks fantastic.
Your business plan must be simple, clean and good looking.
Whatever you do, make it good look.

Rule 7
Good management: 30% of your success
Get a CEO, CFO, Marketing & Sales Guy, and it’s done.
It’s better to give more shares to a quality management than to VC’s.
You are nothing without good management.

Rule 8
Good contacts: 30% of your success
You need door-openers, business angels, Fortune 1000 CEO’s.
Try to get superstars to join your supervisory board, offer them shares.
Their contacts network will become yours, horsepower for your business.

The last 10% of your success…
… can be anything between YOU and MARS.

Rule 9
If you lie, you’re fucked
Everybody knows Everybody.

Rule 10
You can restart at ANY time
There are no mistakes, only lessons.
If you find out that your business sucks, don’t waste any more time with it.
Use everything you learned to do it better next time
